Week 11 QB Streamers

November 15, 2017

Some owners choose to invest early draft capital into RBs, WRs, & TEs since the fantasy point variance from #1-12 is typically quite large by the end of the season. However, the point gap between the QBs are usually not as big. Consequentially, the quarterback streaming method has become very popular in recent years. So here's our top QB streamers for week 11:

If you have specific lineup or roster questions feel free to submit a question via the "Submit a Question"  button on our home page and we'll be sure to share our opinion. Also don't forget to check out our weekly position rankings! (Rankings are up by Wednesdays)

note - Matchup rankings and point totals are from Yahoo Fantasy Sports std scoring

1) Blake Bortles @ CLE

Blake Bortles has surprisingly been putting up decent fantasy points despite questionable play the past few weeks. For the past 4 weeks Bortles has put up between 15-19 fantasy points each week in standard scoring leagues. These are obviously not record breaking numbers but they are also not killing your week either. Fantasy owners were burned last week for trusting the likes of Tyrod Taylor and Josh McCown who put up 3 and 13 points respectively. On top of the recent consistency, Bortles faces the Browns this week who have given up the 7th most points to QBs this season. Cleveland also rocks a stout run defense so Fournette could get bottled up yet again resulting in another game script consisting of a heavy dose of pass attempts. I see Blake throwing 2 touchdowns this week meaning his fantasy point total could be over the 20 point mark for just the 2nd time this season. I like Bortles as the top streamer this week.

2) Ryan Fitzpatrick @ MIA

We all know the volatility of Ryan Fitzpatrick. He's unpredictable; you're getting either Fitzmagic or Pickzpatrick. This week there's a good chance we see Fitzmagic. He struggled to get the offense moving a week ago against the New York Jets, however, unlike Miami, the Jets defense has been on the upswing. As young guys like Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye get more experience they have been looking better and better each week. Morris Claiborne has been under the radar great this season while Muhammed Wilkerson has been getting his grove back. I wouldn't put the poor showing from last week on Fitzpatrick (Just a side note, but please don't treat any positional play against the Jets as a positive matchup for the remainder of the season barring injury). This week, however, Fitz gets to play the imploding Dolphins. Cam Newton and Derrick Carr both had great days against the Dolphins in their previous 2 games. Additionally, we saw what Fitzpatrick could do in relief duty against the Cardinals earlier this year. I expect a similar showing this week. Lets not also forget Fitz gets Mike Evans back this week and we just saw what Panthers WR1 Devin Funchess just did to Miami.

3) Drew Stanton @ HOU EDIT:Stanton has been ruled out. Replacement streamer below!

Drew Stanton is someone you'll rarely ever see on a streamer list, however, if your wire is barren I do like him as a high floor play this week in Houston. Houston has bled fantasy points to QBs and WRs the past few weeks after losing stars on both sides of the ball. They are currently giving up the 3rd most points to the QB position. On top of that, the Texans give up the fewest points to RBs. That means we could see Adrian Peterson get shut down resulting in a heavy passing game plan. Drew Stanton should have no trouble moving the ball against this defense and I'd expect a big game from Fitzgerald as well. Stanton held his own last week throwing for 2 touchdowns against a stout Seahawks secondary. I'd expect a minimum of 15 points this week with a realistic shot of breaking 20.

3) Eli Manning vs KC

I know some expected to see Jay Cutler here instead but I've been playing fantasy for a long time and there have been a number of times Cutler has wet the bed in juicy match-ups. Yes, Cutler has the ability to put up 30 points but could just as well put up 5. With that in mind, I'm going with a little more predictable player in Eli Manning. His best 3 showings this year have come against his 3 easiest QB match-ups (TB, Phi, & SF). According to Yahoo's fantasy points allowed to QBs the chiefs give up the 5th most. This would be the easiest opponent Manning has faced all year. Based on his consistency shown against similar opponents this year, I expect numbers close to last week @ SF (275 Pass Yds & 2 TDs). I like Manning as a high floor play this week.
